Migraine Sentry ("the app") is operated by KJC International Limited (company number 11061661), a company registered in England and Wales, registered office Arrowsmith Court, Station Approach, Broadstone, Dorset, BH18 8AT ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app and this website handle. The summary is unusual for a health app, so it's worth saying plainly:
1. Data the app stores: on your device, and what you log in your private iCloud
The app keeps a local database on your iPhone containing the information you log (migraines, symptoms, medications, check-ins) and the health signals it reads with your permission from Apple Health (such as sleep, heart-rate variability, heart rate, activity), plus barometric pressure from your iPhone's sensor and weather conditions for your area. All analysis (baselines, trigger rankings, forecasts) is computed on your device.
Only the records you log — migraines, symptoms, medications, check-ins, and your settings — are backed up and synced through your own private, end-to-end-encrypted iCloud database (Apple CloudKit) that only your Apple ID can unlock, so your history survives a lost or new phone. Health readings derived from Apple Health are never stored in iCloud by the app; on a new phone they are rebuilt from Apple Health itself, which Apple syncs under its own protections. We cannot see, access, sell, or share any of this data, because it is never transmitted to us.
2. The one network request that involves your data
To fetch local weather and pressure conditions, the app sends your approximate location, rounded to about 1 km, to our weather data provider. This request contains no name, identifier, or health information. Your precise location is never stored by the app and never sent anywhere.
3. Apple Health
The app reads Apple Health data only with your explicit permission, uses it solely for on-device analysis, and never writes to, exports, or transmits it. Consistent with Apple's rules, Health data is never used for advertising or shared with third parties.
4. Purchases
Subscriptions and purchases, if offered, are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details. Apple's privacy policy governs that transaction.
5. This website
This website does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our hosting provider (Vercel) records standard, short-lived server logs (such as IP address and requested page) to operate and secure the service.
6. Data deletion
Settings → Delete All Data permanently erases every record from your device and from your private iCloud backup. Deleting the app alone removes only the copy on that device — your iCloud backup remains, so a reinstall restores your history. To remove everything, use Delete All Data in the app (or remove Migraine Sentry's iCloud data in iOS Settings).
7. Children
Migraine Sentry is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction) and does not knowingly collect data from them.
8. Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Material changes that affect the app's data handling will also be noted in the app's release notes.
